Care
How to care for your new Turtle Farm pottery.
and how we care for you.
Our pottery is completely handmade. Please be aware that variations will occur in the glazing and forms making each piece unique. Our customers love the handmade look of our unique pots and we hope you will too!
All our pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe
Sudden, extreme, or uneven heating or cooling can cause pottery to crack.
DO NOT use on an open flame
DO NOT cool a hot dish by adding cold water
DO NOT set a hot dish on a cold surface, use a trivet, wood, or an oven mitt.
We make all of our glazes from scratch and we only use food safe liner glazes on all of our pots. We take our glaze chemistry seriously and the health of our customers is extremely important to us. *There is absolutely no lead used in any of our work.
We stand by our crafts-human-ship. If you have followed the guidelines above but your pottery cracks/breaks due to manufacturers defects within the first year of use we will replace your pottery. Note: an accidental hit of your pottery on a counter, dishwasher, sink, etc. can cause a hairline fracture without it breaking right away but over time the heating and cooling of pottery can cause the hairline fracture to get worse and eventually break. Please consider this when contacting about a replacement. If you have any questions or would like to receive a replacement item, please send a picture of the broken pot in an email to us at turtlefarmpottery@gmail.com or use the contact page of this website. Thank you!
